CSM Dent with Cpt Dennis Rendell in the Far East, 1945

Dennis Rendell had been the 2 Para Bn Asst Adjutant at the time of Operation MarketGarden and remained back in the U.K. When Brigadier Nigel Poett visited the Battalion in 1945 he saw Ted drilling his Company on the square and was very impressed. He requested that they become the 5th Parachute Brigade Defence Company for their pending operations in the Far East.
