34, Pieterbergseweg, Oosterbeek

34 Pieterbergseweg Oosterbeek was one of a group of houses occupied by No 2 Platoon, 21st Independent Parachute Company in September 1944. Private Tony Crane wrote his sniper score on the wallpaper accompanied by a defiant message during the four days they occupied the house(see separate picture). This is now displayed nearby at the Hartenstein Museum.
