German Officer, Lt. Col. Koch

Lt. Col. Koch is credited with foiling an attempted execution of British Paras taken prisoner at Depienne in 1942 (see Clifford D 'Bucky' Boiteux-Buchanan's profile). The account of the attempted execution is based on the testimony of L/Cpl Cadden. The testimony, which was published in newspapers and periodicals in 1970's, proved controversial and its accuracy has been called into question.
