POW-card made on 8 October 1944 in Dulag Luft (Durchgangslager der Luftwaffe, Transit Camp of the Airforce). An German Prisoner of War (POW) transit camp for captured airmen from any of the Allied air forces during World War II. Their main purpose was to act as collection and interrogation centres for newly captured aircrew,
Afterwards Freddy was transported to Oflag XII-B. An German World War II prisoner-of-war camp for officers (Offizierlager) located in the citadel of Mainz, in Western Germany.
