I have recently discovered, while doing the family tree, that Kenneth is my husbands cousin. What a shock for us all but enormous pride. Sidney Edney was the youngest of 10 children and his brother was Rupert Edney, married to Florence nee Merryfield. He moved to Witney Oxfordshire and worked for De Havilands. He was a quiet man and never spoke of the war. He lost several relations during the war including all of his sisters family in the Sandringham Road bombings in Watford. I can see why he never spoke of it. I haven’t managed to trace kens two sisters relatives but remand hopeful. Your info on Kenneth has been very interesting, thank you
