View over DZ-K Normandy after exit from a C-47 Dakota aircraft, 6 June 2010 by Harvey Grenville

DZ-K was assigned to the 8th Battalion in June 1944 as part of the advance Normandy landings. Lt Bob Midwood led the pathfinder section from 22 Ind Para Coy to mark out the DZ for the 8th Battalion. 
This video was taken during a commemorative jump on 6 June 2010, and was the first time the DZ had been jumped since WW2. Fortunately we were using steerable MC1-1Cs, hence the heavy use of left hand toggle to avoid entanglement with Stewart (in the stick behind me) who had bad twists. Although not intended, it was also my first stand up landing under a round canopy.
