Press release from the Afghan Trust dated Oct 2012:
This is Maggies Story about her day with the Red Devils in support of the Afghanistan Trust and Raising a fantastic sum of £1800:
"Doing the Parachute Tandem Jump with the Red Devils Team has been, by far, the most amazing experience I have ever come across in my Oh my Fear entire life! It is becoming very difficult to put down into words all the feelings and the emotions I went through during those wonderful minutes.
It was a thrilling mix of a 100% excitement, fright, joy and a real fear of dying while plunging towards the ground at a speed reaching up to 120mph form a height of 13,000ft! You try to shout and yet you can't, as you can't even catch a mere breath; all this happening in just around 5 seconds.
Then you just ab-so-lu-te-ly love every single second that follows of the freefall and the canopy ride back to the landing area. The first glimpse of a thought that crosses your mind once you land is: can I please go back up and do it again?! If you have never attempted a parachute jump in your life, you have absolutely no idea what adrenaline is!!!
In a nutshell – it was absolutely and utterly amazing, a simply incredible and awesome experience!!! Something everyone should do at least once in their life! And if you are being inspired by my words and right now thinking of doing it… do it with the Red Devils, they are simply the best!"
This is an example to us all that with a bit of guts and determination you can do anything. Well done Maggie and thanks for raising the fantasic amount of £1800 for the Afghan Trust -JOB DONE
