The L16A2 81mm Mortar is a indirect fire weapon which is capable of providing accurate High Explosive, smoke and illuminating rounds out to a maximum range of 5,650m.
Introduced to replace the Second World War 3-inch Mortar, the L16 has been in use since the 1950s and has a crucial role to play in Airborne Operations.
