Dickie Dunn is a former British, Commonwealth and European heavyweight boxing champion who challenged Muhammad Ali for the WBC and WBA world heavyweight boxing titles in 1976.
He also served as a Territorial Army paratrooper in 4 PARA while he was a professional boxer. A former champion recruit, Dickie went on to become 4 PARA’s Provost Sergeant, and in 1974 he was awarded the Fishmongers’ Trophy, in recognition of outstanding service to the Regiment the previous year.
