Harold Denis Rogers, son of Cyril and Amy Rogers; husband of Doris Rogers, of Bridlington, Yorkshire, served with The 12th (Yorkshire) Parachute Battalion.
Major ‘Harry’ Rogers dropped into Normandy on D Day 6 June 1944.
He was killed in Action by friendly shell fire at Breville on 12 June aged 33 and is now buried at Ranville War Cemetery, in Normandy.
