Colin Mark Davies joined The Parachute Regiment in September 1977 and was posted to 30 Platoon Junior Parachute Company at Browning Barracks, Aldershot.

He completed his parachute training as part of 448 Platoon at RAF Brize Norton in late 1978 and was posted to D Company, 2 PARA, in Berlin in January 1979.

Colour Sgt Davies served with 2 PARA for his full 22 years’ service, taking part in operations and tours in Berlin, Denmark, Kenya, Falklands, Belize, America, Canada as well as several in the UK and Northern Ireland.

Now on the Long Service List, C/Sgt Davies has left 2 PARA and served as a Company Quarter Master Sergeant (CQMS) in various locations since 2001.
