Charles Daw was born in 1914, the son of Louisa and Herbert Daw and husband Margaret Lillian Daw,
Private Charles Daw served with The Gloucestershire Regiment in Normandy, where he was attached to The 8th Parachute Battalion as reinforcements.
Private Daw was killed in action on 21 August 1944, aged 30 years old, during Operation Overlord, and is buried in Ranville Cemetery.
